LIBRARY AREA USERS PROCEDURE

The following procedure has been developed to handle requests from non-university personnel to use the Library.
  1. Upon a patron's inquiry about area users' privileges, an application form is filled out.
  2. A determination is made whether the person is a member of the Alumni Association. Many people who want check-out privileges are not aware that membership carries it.
  3. The application is evaluated by the Head of Circulation as to the need for such privileges, the time period involved, and references.
  4. If all is in order, the application is approved by the Head of Circulation or the University Librarian and a temporary card is issued.
