- General requirements
- All material posted by student organizations must be approved and stamped by the Clark Student Center Office, where compliance with size restrictions, sponsorship and master calendar is verified. All material posted must carry the name of the sponsor which must be a registered campus organization.

- Bulletin Boards General university bulletin boards are available for posting. Use of departmental or special area boards is permitted only with the permission of the related office.

- Posters
- Posters for campus bulletin boards must not exceed fourteen (14) inches by twenty-two (22) inches in size (one-half of a standard poster sheet). Posting on glass, painted surfaces, trees, buildings, or any other unauthorized place is not permitted. Information pertaining to authorized posting areas and posting regulations is available in the Student Center Office. Exceptions to stated policies must have prior approval of the Clark Student Center Director.

- Posting Time Limit
- Publicity materials may be posted two (2) weeks prior to the event by authorized Student Center personnel in the Clark Student Center. They will be removed by Student Center personnel immediately after the event.

- Printing
- Arrangements may be made through the Office of Student Activities and Orientation to have posters printed. The posters are printed on a sign press machine. A price list is available in the Office of Student Activities and Orientation.

- Handbills
- The distribution of handbills, heralds, or similar printed information is limited to official university departments or colleges and registered student organizations. All materials must carry the name of the sponsor, a department or college, or registered campus organization. No handbills may be placed on cars parked on university property.

- Advertising by Off-Campus Groups
- Off-campus groups or individuals wishing to post printed materials on campus will be handled individually. Advertising by off-campus groups must be of special benefit to MSU students and is limited to one (1) poster on the Clark Student Center bulletin board designated for off-campus advertising.

- Chalk Writing
- The following guidelines are set for student organizations that wish to advertise functions by chalk writing on sidewalks.
- Approval for chalk writing must be granted from the Clark Student Center Office. A written copy of the publicity materials must be submitted to the CSC Office before approval can be given.
- Sidewalks at all entrances of the Student Center may be used.
- No more than two (2) organizations may advertise at any given time.
- Advertising may be put up beginning one (1) eek prior to the event.
- Sidewalks must be cleaned by the individual organization the day following the advertised event.
- All publicity must meet the same standards as set for posters used on campus.
- Good taste and sound judgment will prevail in the approval of all chalk writings.
