4.172 Provost TEXAS PUBLIC EDUCATION GRANT PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Date Adopted/Most Recent Revision: 11/07/03
In accordance with Texas Education Code 56.031 of Vernon's Texas Codes annotated, the following criteria will be followed in determining a students eligibility for a Texas Public Education Grant.
- The student must meet admission requirements as detailed in the current university catalog or as amended by the MSU Board of Regents.
- The student must establish financial need by completing the necessary forms used by the Financial Aid Office.
- The student must be registered for at least six (6) hours for a regular semester or three (3) hours for a summer term, for undergraduates, and at least three (3) hours for any session if a graduate student. Students registered in the Teacher Certification Program or Second Baccalaureate Program are not eligible to receive TPEG funds.
- Awards will be made on the basis of the order of receipt of applications.
- The student must meet the satisfactory progress criteria (quantitative and qualitative) established by the Financial Aid Office.
