- Midwestern State University campus locations that provide medical and mental health services are charged with the responsibility of utilizing business practices and providing services in a manner that safeguards the privacy and confidentiality of patients and clients. The said areas include but are not limited to the following:

- Designated Representative: Director of Vinson Health Center

- Designated Representative: Practicum Faculty of Record

- Counseling Clinic, Ferguson Hall
- Designated Representative: Practicum Faculty of Record

- Designated Representative: Director of Counseling Center

- Right of University to Refuse Access
- Medical and mental health services are dependent upon privacy and confidentiality in order to maximize the utilization of said services. The above areas of Midwestern State University are committed to the betterment of the individual and society at large by providing those services through unencumbered access. In order to maintain the confidentiality of patients and be of greater assistance, media representatives and other publics seeking interviews, photographs, videotape/tape recordings, or general information are refused access to any area where a clients present themselves for medical or mental health services.

- Rules for Media Representatives and Public Access
- Medical and mental health professionals recognize the need for the dissemination of information to the public. Professional service providers have developed the following standards in order to assist the media representatives and other publics in providing accurate information.
Media representatives and other publics must contact the designated representative of the specific service area for assistance with the planned media story.
- Each specific service area retains the right to grant or deny an appointment based on the current demands of the service area.
- All photographs and/or videotape/tape recordings require:
- Approval by the designated representative of the specific service area.
- Appointment during non-service hours.
- Models, if deserved will be provided by the media representative or publics.
