TUITION SET ASIDE PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

In accordance with Texas Education Code 56.011 and 56.012 of Vernon's Texas Codes annotated, the following criteria will be followed in determining a student's eligibility for financial assistance provided by the Tuition Set Aside funds.
  1. The student must meet admission requirements as detailed in the current university catalog or as amended by the MSU Board of Regents.
  2. The student must be a Texas resident.
  3. The student must establish financial need by completing the necessary forms used by the Financial Aid Office.
  4. The student must be registered for at least six (6) hours for a regular semester or three (3) hours for a summer term, for undergraduates, and at least three (3) hours for any session if a graduate student.
  5. The student must meet the satisfactory progress criteria (quantitative and qualitative) established by the Financial Aid Office.
